Associate Spotlight: Fran Hill

The first point of contact for new Associates to Catholic Care Center is the friendly face of our Recruiter, Fran Hill. Fran has been with CCC almost 7 years. During that time she’s served as a CNA, Scheduler, and Recruiter. We thought it would be fun to dive a little deeper and learn more about Fran and her interests.
What led you to Catholic Care Center?
I’ve always had a passion for healthcare. Before coming to Catholic Care Center I worked as a CNA in another community. When I left that position I began to work as an agency aide so I could explore other communities. When I got to Catholic Care Center, it just felt right. So, I took a leap of faith and became a permanent employee. It was the best decision I could have made.
What is the best thing about your current position?
Being the recruiter allows me to meet many different people. I love being the first face of Catholic Care and making people feel welcome. It’s important to me that I can have a positive contribution to make CCC a better place to work.
When you are not working, what are your hobbies?
I love to work with my hands and enjoy crafting. I make customized tumblers, t-shirts, key chains and many other items. I usually have a booth at 2-3 craft shows a year and also have pop up sales. Another of my interests is traveling. Any place with water is my favorite destination. Being around water gives me peace. I love living in Kansas though, the cost of living is great and there are no hurricanes!
What’s one fun fact about yourself you’d like to share?
I enjoy watching crime/detective shows. When I was little and someone asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up, I would say a crime scene investigator. (Lucky for us she changed her mind!) I enjoy watching the programs and trying to solve the mystery before the end of the show. I also enjoy escape rooms.
What is your favorite food?
I like all Mexican food: quesadillas, carne asada, and spicy chili. Anything spicy, I like it. I also love to cook, and of course, all my food has a little spice.
We are grateful that Fran’s career led her to Catholic Care Center. Our associates and residents have all benefited directly and indirectly from Fran’s positivity and her love for our community, and we are looking forward to enjoying that positivity for many years to come.
