A leading retirement and healthcare community where senior can live, learn, grow and celebrate their faith.

Dear Friends of Catholic Care Center,

We’re still serving.
We’re still loving.
And we’re still welcoming new residents for our Assisted Living program and Independent Living patio homes at Shepherd’s Crossing.

At Catholic Care Center we have dedicated the past 30 years to knowing, loving, and serving seniors in our area. During this unprecedented time of global concern over the COVID-19 virus, we remain resolved to do whatever is necessary to provide outstanding care to those who have blessed us with the opportunity to serve them, and those that may seek to join our community in the coming days and weeks.

Our days are different now, but still full of the joy, compassion, faith, and care that have defined our ministry over the last three decades. While we eagerly await the day that we can once again welcome you all back into our community, we want to assure you of our prayers for the continued health and safety of you and your family and the steps we are taking to protect our residents and associates.

Some of the response measures we have implemented as of now are:
  • Educating all staff and residents in social distancing guidelines
  • Increasing the frequency and rigor of cleaning and disinfecting
    common community areas
  • Implementing temporary visitor restrictions, including deliveries
  • Canceling on-site large group social events and recreational activities
  • Reviewing and executing our emergency preparedness and response program
  • Asking residents and employees to reschedule travel plans and
    remain in our community
  • Deploying an updated visitor advisory for communities and to campus
  • Coordinating best practices with other similar communities
  • Making the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s COVID-19 prevention
resources and recommendations available to all employees

This is a very fluid situation that we will continue to monitor and respond to with additional changes as needed. Should you have an immediate question or concern please call our community hotline at 316-744-2020. We also invite you to visit our Facebook page, where we are constantly posting new information, plus fun and informative videos.

While it may feel as if the entire world is changing, one thing that remains the same is our dedication to setting the standard for senior living. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your community and please pray for a resolution to this pandemic and peace for all those affected.

To Know. To Love. To Serve.

It’s not a mission statement, it’s been our mission since 1990.

To know the needs of our residents and provide individualized nursing care.
To love our residents with the love of Christ.
To serve our residents with empathy and gentleness.

The Catholic Care Center Difference

Expert Services. Compassionate Care.

We believe that truly caring for someone should go beyond providing physical care. Throughout the past 30 years, we have dedicated ourselves to providing holistic care that encompasses the whole person and enriches them spiritually, emotionally and physically.

We’re a leader in not-for-profit retirement living and healthcare, but we don’t view ourselves as a business. We’re a ministry. Our compassion and care extend beyond our residents’ conditions and religious affiliation. We are all God’s children and our care reflects that.
